The building works of “Sea Esta” begun in August 1974. Two families of Mogata (a fishing village situated 180 km of Stockholm) started to build two identical mahogany sailboats in their free time using the sketches of a well-known English sailboat designer. The building works took 4 years, 75 000 Swedish crowns and 4 000 working hours and in June 20, 1978 local people from around the region came to see the launching of the brand new twin sailboats.
In July 2012 “Sea Esta” travelled to Latvia and on spring 2015 it went through a huge renovation – paint was removed, damaged details were replaced and the hull was repaired.
